Schiphol is close to Amsterdam. If you have enough time we recommend a visit to the city of Amsterdam. The distance between Doetinchem and Schiphol is 130 km. From Schiphol to Doetinchem it takes about 2 hours by train (the cheapest option) and 1,5 hours by car/taxi to Doetinchem (possibly interesting when travelling in a bigger group).

Düsseldorf is the closest large town in Germany. The distance between Doetinchem and Schiphol is 120 km. From Düsseldorf it takes about 2,5 hours by train and 1,5 hours by car/taxi to Doetinchem.
Ryanair (www.ryanair.com) operates cheap flights from and to a smaller airport called Düsseldorf (Weeze). Not all countries have flight connections with this airport, but there are connections with for instance London Stansted, Glasgow Prestwick, Stockholm (Nykoping, Skavsta) and Milan (Bergamo). This airport is 50 km from Doetinchem. There is no train station. You can rent a car at the airport. It will take about 1 hour to drive to Doetinchem.

By car:
Doetinchem is situated near highway A18. The best route can be found on for instance www.map24.com
For Tablers coming from Belgium (Ieper-Doetinchem: 3,5 hours), Germany (Wilhelmshaven-Doetinchem: 3,5 hours) and Danmark (Fredericia-Doetinchem: 6,5 hours) travelling by car is probably the best option.
For Tablers from Switzerland (Nyon - Doetinchem: 8 hours) and Austria (Spittal an der Drau - Doetinchem: 9 hours) the best option depends on what you prefer.
